A Few Things You Might Be Wondering…
What is cyanotype?
Cyanotype is an alternative photography process known for its beautiful blue and white results. In this workshop, you’ll experience the process firsthand—using a tea bag as your canvas.
The cyanotype process uses safe chemicals (safe enough for children to use) and a light source. I have a UV light source in case the sun isn’t cooperating on workshop day.
Wait…we’re making cyanotypes on tea bags?
Yes! That’s part of the fun. You’ll create your cyanotype directly on a tea bag and then turn it into a one-of-a-kind holiday ornament.
Do I need to be artistic or crafty?
Not at all. This is a beginner-friendly workshop, and I’ll guide you through the process step by step.
Do I need to bring anything?
Nope. All supplies are included in your $69 workshop fee. Just come ready to experiment and create.
What will I take home?
You’ll leave with 4 finished cyanotype tea bag ornaments made by you, ready for your holiday décor or gift giving.
How big is the class?
Very small! The workshop is limited to just 4 students, so you’ll have plenty of hands-on guidance.
