Tiny Stories Journal: A Place to Hold Memories in Your Hands

An online textile art journal workshop for preserving photos, memories, and small personal stories

In this workshop, you’ll create a handmade textile journal designed to hold small artworks, photos, and memories in a way that feels personal, meaningful, and lasting.

A simple way to turn the pieces you’ve saved into something you can hold, revisit, and share.

This workshop teaches you how to build the journal itself. The art on the pages can be created in many ways. Art creation is not part of this class.

1. To not lose something that matters

2. To feel capable, not overwhelmed

3. To legitimize her memories and her making

4. To make something that can be shared without explanation

The 3 most important reasons

1. To gather what matters into one place

Instead of photos here, scraps there, memories half-remembered.

The Tiny Stories Journal gives those pieces a home.
One place where meaning stays intact.

2. To save the story while you still can

You know why these photos and bits matter.

This journal lets you decide what gets saved and how it’s remembered,
before that context fades or disappears.

3. To make something you can share without explaining

A journal someone can flip through.
Hold.
Understand.

No backstory required.

That’s it.

No technique talk.
No confidence talk.
No art labels.

Just:

  • gathering

  • saving

  • sharing

If you want a single line that holds all three, here’s one you could use anywhere:

“A Tiny Stories Journal is a simple way to gather, save, and share the pieces of life you don’t want to lose.”

Give Your Tiny Art a Home

  • Touchable keepsake: Turn photos, fabric, and personal scraps into a journal you can flip through, hold, and share, no frames required.

  • Make it yourself: Instead of commissioning a custom journal, learn how to create your own memory-keeping journal using materials you already have.

  • A skill you’ll return to: Use these techniques again and again to create personal journals or meaningful gifts tied to specific memories and moments.

  • Expandable by design: Add new pages as life unfolds. This journal grows with your stories.

  • Simple and approachable: The Tiny Stories Method (fabric pages + flexible spine) makes it possible even if you’ve never made a book before.

Who I Am:

Hi, I’m Carol Ann Webster. I create the Snippets Tea Bag Art Course. Over the years I’ve created hundreds of tiny stitched and painted pieces, and I wanted a beautiful home for them.

That’s how the Tiny Stories Journal Method was born: a way to gather small works into a touchable keepsake instead of leaving them tucked away in a shoebox.

Now, I’ve integrated my old photos as starting points as a way to save those tiny stories as art.

I’d love to guide you in building a journal of your own.

I’d be happy to hear from you.
