This piece begins with a brewed tea bag fused to interfacing. I added fabric from an old scarf and a scrap of turquoise silk. I printed the dotted paper using freezer paper and printmaking paper. Machine stitching follows the pattern of the brewing on the tea bag. A rusty washer is hand-sewn to the tea bag.

Colorful scraps and ordinary shapes make up my fabric collage. I like to use bits that are not usually noticed unless that are surrounded by uncommon items.

Mounted and matted in white.
